NJ Visit August 2006 -- The Crest At Fort Lee

As you have probably heard, or maybe not, we are moving back to the NYC area. One of the biggest reasons is that we are gearing up for IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) and the state of New Jersey mandates that insurance pay for it. Recently we visited the NJ area and saw some apartments that we were considering. I wanted to post them here since people were asking about what the places looked like.

So I'm breaking this into different posts for the different places we looked at. It will keep it more organized for me when I want to reference back. And keep in mind that a lot of the details in here are me being able to put them all out there for us to remember. So things like sqft and such. And no, I won't tell you how much any of them are, so don't ask. :)

The Crest at Fort Lee was our first stop. (I'm doing these in order since it's easier to remember for me)

It was a decent complex. We weren't overly thrilled with the area. It was very business park-y for us. Not a lot of places to walk to and eat or just see. The units were clean, nice and so was the complex. The bedrooms seemed a bit small for us though.

We looked at two apartments here. One is a one bedroom with a loft (878sqft). This one was too small for us I think. The bedroom was tiny and the loft space was kinda small. And this really lacked closet space. The other one was a two bedroom with two small bedrooms.

Overall, this isn't our top pick. We would happily live here, but it's not a wow place. We give it 3/5.

These were pictures of the loft apartment at The Crest at Fort Lee.

This was the only picture we took of the two bedroom one. This is the living room of the 2 bedroom model. (So Small!)
